Ingredients:
- 2 cups puffed rice
- 1 small onion, finely chopped
- 1 small tomato, finely chopped
- 1 small cucumber, finely chopped
- 1 small green chili, finely chopped (adjust according to your spice preference)
- 2 tablespoons roasted peanuts
- 2 tablespoons roasted chickpeas (optional)
- 2 tablespoons chopped fresh coriander leaves
- 1 tablespoon mustard oil
- 1 tablespoon tamarind chutney (optional)
- 1 tablespoon green chutney (optional)
- 1 teaspoon chaat masala
- 1/2 teaspoon roasted cumin powder
- Salt to taste
- Lemon wedges for serving
Instructions:
1. In a large mixing bowl, add the puffed rice, chopped onion, tomato, cucumber, green chili, roasted peanuts, roasted chickpeas, and fresh coriander leaves.
2. Add mustard oil to the mixture and toss everything together to combine.
3. If desired, you can add tamarind chutney and green chutney to the mixture for additional flavor. Mix well.
4. Sprinkle chaat masala, roasted cumin powder, and salt over the mixture. Toss again to ensure all the ingredients are evenly coated.
5. Taste the mixture and adjust the seasoning if needed.
6. Serve the Masala Jhal Muri in bowls or cones, garnished with a squeeze of lemon juice on top.
